Basically bred for hunting and killing vermin, Terrier dogs are now known to offer wide range of features and characters that you can find adorable. They are not as affectionate as toy dogs (while there are some terrier dogs in the toy and companion dog brackets) and may not be as smart as other breeds, but these shortcomings were launched with several things that only they can offer.
We will discuss briefly some of the types of terrier, dog, who may find interesting:
Less aggressive but definitely not shy. This best describes Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. They are definitely very alert and lively, but when the call comes to the firm, they are sure to show you some air of confidence and steady disposition.
This type of dog is also endowed with an intelligence that makes them very sensitive to the obedience training.
Parson Russell Terrier is a dog type that exhibits boldness, intelligence, affection and exuberant disposition. While many may find this a playful friend, it is still recommended for all people Parson Russell home. In fact, formal obedience training is a must for owners since this type of dog is more likely to show the playfulness and joy much to make this a very independent pet. For people with active lifestyles and those who can tolerate the available exploratory, this rogue is best for you.
The Norwich Terrier, on the contrary, a type of dog is the result of breeding small Terriers with other smaller breeds, possibly Yorkshire Terriers. Maintenance of Norwich Terrier is minimal and are content with modest homes. They have active disposition though and can be affectionate and fearless. In addition, they are also known to show robust and happy personalities which make them ideal companions.
Like the Norwich Terrier, Norfolk Terriers are also well-spirited, fearless, charming and always ready for the game. While both may have some similar physical characteristics, Norfolk still be distinguished through their folds of the ears.
Basically worker-like dogs, Kerry Blue Terrier are excellent watchdogs and work well on the farm. This dog is named after its color from blue-shade coat that was originally black during the puppy stage.
Cable Fox Terriers are of great interest as it shows the power through its excellent endurance and speed. Alertness and quick movements are the dominant expressions of this type of dog. It is recommended however that the owner trains the dog and should be given enough doses of daily exercises.
Meanwhile, Smooth Fox Terrier is lively party and types of dogs that are ideal in both country and city life. Displaying intelligence and cleverness, the dog does well and students should be well credited by that. They are also likely to show great affection towards their owners.
These are just some of the many terrier dog types that can be considered their pets to come. In general, this type of dog has good dispositions and makes ideal home pets. While some may display obscure aggressiveness, this still does not negate the fact that most types have the capacity to develop affection and keen expression of their attachment to their owners. Be warned though that some types of dogs of this breed can be great fun and should be given enough attention and time during obedience training and exercises.
